He is survived by his partner Marna Oas of Pillager; sons Nicholas Forsythe, 27, of Minneapolis, Gabriel Forsythe, 24, of Maple Grove, and Christian Forsythe, 19, of Maple Grove; parents Lyle and Joan Forsythe of New Hope; siblings Kim Jarvis (Bill) of Maple Grove; Kris Stiff (Mark) of Maple Grove, and Lisa Feldick (Jason) of St. Michael; and the mother of his children, Connie Forsythe of Maple Grove.

Scott is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Born in Minneapolis on October 14, 1959, Scott graduated from Cooper High School in 1978. He then studied at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls before starting his career as a salesperson in the truck industry. He held several positions throughout his career, though he spent the majority of his professional life at Boyer Ford Trucks where he worked for 30 years.

A self-described member of the “Church of the Great Outdoors,” Scott was happiest outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and boating-particularly in the Brainerd Lakes Area. He was a lifelong jokester and lover of mischief, right to the end.

Details regarding his memorial are pending. The family would like to thank Marna Oas and Lakewood Hospice Care for their dedication to Scott in his final days.
