ITPA Fall Meeting is Yellowstone Themed

This year, our theme draws inspiration from the beloved television series, Yellowstone. Saddle up in finest cowboy/cowgirl gear on Thursday evening at our reception.

If you don't already own it, there's no need to go out and buy anything. Demin and plaid shirts will suffice or a sundress for the ladies.

Amendment to Section II of Bylaws

Purpose: make it easier for new direct member applicants to be accepted by resolving issues with the current referral requirements. This loosens the requirement of direct member applicants needing to find 3 primary member referrals, even if those applying are new businesses and haven’t yet established transactional relationships with our members.

Versions possible:

board unanimous vote to approve a member, and no referrals necessary
board unanimous vote counts as 1 referral of 3 required
board unanimous vote counts as 1, associate member can be 1 referral max

Amendment Proposal to Section II of bylaws:

Section II - Application for Membership. Applicants for Primary and Associate Membership shall submit to the Board of Directors an electronic or written application for membership on a form prescribed by the Board. Applicants for Primary Membership must have three (3) sponsors in writing total. Sponsors must consist of at least two (2) Primary Members in good standing. The third sponsorship can be from a unanimous vote of approval by the board, or one (1) associate members referral. Applicants for Associate Membership must have the sponsorship of at least one (1) Primary Member in good standing in writing. The name of the applicants in either class must be published in at least one (1) issue of the Association’s membership publication before action may be taken by the Board of Directors. Associate Members may reapply for Primary Membership status after being accepted as an Associate Member and meeting all requirements including submission of three (3) written endorsements.

As required in Article XI, the amendment must be published 30 days prior to the board vote. The Board will be voting on this change at the fall meeting

Right to Repair Message from Bill Hanvey

Right to repair is the concept that people should have the right to repair the products they own, and also have access to repair information and replacement parts from manufacturers.

For the automotive industry, we believe people should have the ability to maintain and fix their vehicles at the repair facility, both independent and dealer, of their choice (including their driveway), rather than having to rely solely on the manufacturer or authorized repair shops to do so. You can make a difference, please share this message.
